Most Instagrammable Spots

Well-known for its natural beauty, famous sunsets and world-class street art, the Territory’s capital is an Instagrammers’ paradise.

If you’re visiting Darwin for BASSINTHEGRASS in 2021, be prepared to fill your camera roll with countless ‘grammable moments that’ll make your mates down south green with envy.

Darwin’s Sunsets

Yes, we have the world’s best sunsets and no, we’re not afraid to brag about them.

You’ve probably seen pics of our stunning sunsets on your feeds, but wait until you experience them for yourself – they are seriously next level.

While photos never actually do them justice, you can’t leave Darwin without getting a few sunset snaps.

There are tonnes of spots to enjoy the pink, orange and purple hues that paint the sky at dusk each night, but one of the best and most iconic locations to snap your Insta moment is at Darwin’s very own Mindil Beach and the location of BASSINTHEGRASS.

Darwin’s street art

Most people don’t know that the heart of Darwin is home to some incredible street art just begging to be snapped.

Take a wander through the city streets and you’ll notice dozens of colourful murals that local, national and international artists have created as part of the Darwin Street Art Festival. From crocs, famous musicians, tropical flora and everything in between, you’re bound to find some Insta inspo from just wandering Darwin’s city streets.

Local's tip: Take a self-guided tour of the street art, but make sure you download the Darwin Street Art Festival app which provides you with a live map, compass and information about each artwork. And the best bit? There are numerous augmented reality (AR) pieces that you can experience.
