How much?
General Admission tickets are $105. Platinum Packages have now sold out.

Where to buy?
All tickets can be purchased through the official People’s Choice BASSINTHEGRASS Music Festival website. Tickets can also be purchased at the venue’s Box Office on Saturday, May 18. We discourage tickets being purchased from non-authorised sellers as there is no guarantee these tickets will be valid for use.

I lost or have not received my ticket!
If you haven’t received your ticket we recommend checking your junk mail folder. If you still haven’t received your ticket or have lost it, please call our ticketing provider Ticketebo on 1800 381 939. Before calling them, please make sure you have the credit card and personal information used to purchase the ticket.

At what age do I need a ticket?
Children 13 and under are permitted free entry when accompanied by a ticketed adult or guardian.

Passouts?
Passouts are only permitted for patrons over 18. No passouts will be granted after 7pm and no re-entry from 8pm.

BUY TICKETS

Parking
Free public parking will be located at Darwin High School which is located 500m from the event. There will be no public parking permitted at the event. View the map here.

Buses
Your BASSINTHEGRASS ticket provides you free bus travel to the event on the Urban Bus Network. Plese show the driver your ticket when boarding. Bus stops are located adjacent to the event site. Head here to check the timetables and maps. Free buses will be provided to get patrons home safely and take them to all major interchanges: Darwin, Palmerston and Casuarina. One rural service will be provided.

Purchasing Alcohol
Patrons with an over 18 wristband will be permitted to purchase alcohol within the venue.

ID
Don’t forget your ID! Government issued ID such as a Driver’s Licence, Proof of Age or Passport must be presented by people over 18 wanting to consume alcohol. Secondary and Tertiary Education ID will not be accepted. If you cannot provide an accepted form of ID, you will be issued with an underage wristband.

Bars Open Time
Public Bars and the Platinum Area will open at 1pm.

BYO Alcohol
BYO is not permitted. All bags will be searched upon entry.

Dry Areas
Designated dry areas will be located and signed in the venue. View the map here.

 

Catering applications are open now, closing Friday, 26 April. Successful applicants will be advised on Wednesday, 1 May.

Free Water
Keep hydrated! Each ticket holder will receive a free water voucher which can be redeemed at the Mt Franklin Water Station. We encourage you to help reduce waste by topping up this bottle at the refill stations supplied and recycling it when you’re done. But if you need another bottle of Mt Franklin, we’ve got plenty. Water Refill stations
There will be two water refill stations within the venue. We encourage you to hang on to your water bottle and refill regularly to stay hydrated. View the map here.

Food
Food cannot be brought into the venue but we do have plenty of food stall holders in the catering area! View the map here.
There will be vegetarian and vegan options available for purchase. Food required for dietary requirements is permitted.

Open Times
The Sunset Session will be open between 5:30pm and 7:30pm.

Facilities
No food or drinks will be served in this area however you’re welcome to bring your food or drinks from the venue.

Applications for media accreditation will open in early 2019. We encourage you to email your interest to major.events@nt.gov.au

The following items are prohibited from BASSINTHEGRASS; Glass, sealed or un-sealed drink containers, chairs, umbrellas, sharp objects, aerosol cans, pets, alcohol and illegal substances. No professional photographic equipment, professional audio recorders or video cameras will be permitted.

We have a Zero Tolerance approach with regard to antisocial, aggressive, dangerous or intimidating behaviour, underage drinking, supply of alcohol to minors, consumption and possession of any illicit substances and smoking. Any of these activities will result in immediate eviction from the venue.

You won’t be allowed in without appropriate attire including a shirt and footwear. Don’t wear offensive slogans and avoid wearing jewellery that could potentially harm yourself or others.

Cloaking & Storage
BASSINTHEGRASS does not provide cloaking or storage services for personal belongings.

Event Champions
Lost something? Have a question? Need a friend? Our Event Champions are there to help you! They are a friendly, non-judgemental crew of people dedicated to ensuring you have a fun and safe day. The Event Champions Station is located near the entrance. View the map here.

Merchandise

Designated Smoking Areas
Mindil Beach is a no smoking venue. Designated smoking areas will be located throughout the venue. View the map here.

Lost Property
Lost property can be handed in or collected at the Event Champions Hub (located at the entrance). View the map here.
Just identify your missing item to claim it if it has been handed in. Realise you’ve lost something after the event? All lost property will be taken to the NT Major Events Company office (16 Bennett Street, Darwin) and can be collected from Monday, 20 May.
Any unclaimed items will be handed over to the NT Police on Knuckey Street from Monday, 27 May.

Security
Whether it’s entering, leaving or during People’s Choice BASSINTHEGRASS, you will be required to abide by all reasonable requests or commands from Festival Security. Remember that they are there to keep everyone in the venue safe. All bags/containers will be subject to a full search to ensure the safety of patrons.

Recycle to Win
We’re rewarding recycling at BASSINTHEGRASS. Return five bottles or cans to the Event Champions Station and go into the draw for a chance to win 1 of 3 x Double Platinum Packages 18+ for BASSINTHEGRASS 2020. Please note: Patrons who will be under 18 in May 2020 will receive 2 x General Admission tickets. Every five cans/bottles will give you one entry. Winners will be announced during the event via the BASSINTHEGRASS Facebook page.

Eco-friendly products
All bars at BASSINTHEGRASS will be using eco-friendly cups and cup holders. All catering sites will be in compliance with the City of Darwin’s Plastic Wise Policy.

Unfortunately there are very limited opportunities to work or volunteer at BASSINTHEGRASS. We encourage you to contact Corestaff on 08 8942 6666 for any availabilities!

The event organiser does not permit or support any activity that may be determined as ambush marketing. This will include the handing out of flyers, the placement of posters, the distribution of products or any material considered unauthorised. As a consequence the organiser will request the immediate removal of any person or organisation from the areas deemed to be zoned specifically for the event (this does include the car parks).

Infants and Toddlers
We discourage parents from bringing babies and toddlers to People’s Choice BASSINTHEGRASS. The noise and environment is potentially distressing and the facilities are not designed to accommodate infants.

First time Festival Goers
Whether you’re going to BASSINTHEGRASS yourself or your child is heading along with a group of friends, you can be certain the safety of festival goers is just as important to us as delivering a stellar line up on the day. Read our handy guide for first time festival goers here.
