Short Stack

Short Stack are the hottest new young band in Australia. With more energy than a box of frogs, their music is a blend of many genres, including Punk, Glam and Indie. Their lyrics are honest, witty and tongue in cheek all stitched together with teenage confessions.

The band have tapped into the power of the internet to showcase their musical abilities to astounding effect and have taken the traditional Music Business establishment by surprise. With over four and a half a million plays on My Space and more than a one and a half million on You Tube, they have a global fan-base, their own TV show and their own merchandise range. Their headline shows ‘Princess Ball’ & ‘Sway Sway Baby Live’ have sold out and anywhere they are seen they are besieged by an army of crazy fans who follow their every move on Twitter.

Their three hit singles, Shimmy A Go Go, Princess and Sway, Sway Baby have all charted high from the sheer weight of numbers of their internet fanbase. Their debut Album, ‘Stack Is The New Black’ is due for release in August ’09.

Short Stack have played around Australia to a total audience in excess of sixty thousand fans and along their way have supported Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, Hello Goodbye, The Veronicas and Metro Station
