It may seem as though Redcoats have fallen from the heavens and eclipsed the unsuspecting human race with a sound that brings to mind classic bands of a bygone era while bringing an unmistakable modern edge to it all.

However Andrew, Rhys and Emilio have been together writing and performing since 2007. In stumbling across lead guitarist Neil Wilkinson in February 2009, the puzzle was complete and Redcoats have not looked back since, asserting themselves on the Melbourne Music Scene.

In the six months that have passed since Neil joined the band they have kept busy writing and recording their debut EP at Birdland studios in June 2009 with Rob Long and Lindsay Gravina.

In september 2009 they released their EP to a packed crowd at The Evelyn.

With a following that continues to grow show by show on the back of their powerful live performances Redcoats continue to go from strength to strength. Already deep into writing for their debut LP things aren't looking like slowing down anytime soon for these Melbourne boys.
