Winners Announced. Sleeveheads!
Top end students - this is your chance to play alongside internationally renowned music acts at the Territory's biggest music extravaganza, BASSINTHEGRASS.
In April 2009 Chief Minister Paul Henderson announced the creation of a Battle of the School Bands competition for middle and senior years students.
Battle of the School Bands is open to students from government and non-government schools.
To enter the competition you must attend one of the school incursion programs held in February and March. Here you will learn about stagecraft and musicianship from a former Bass in the Grass act, local band Terracotta Pigeons. Your band will perform an original song for the opportunity to earn a place in the final on Friday 16 April 2010 at Nightcliff Middle School.
