Pass-outs - There will be no pass-outs from 7pm
General Information, Safety and Tips
Gates open 11am and the event finishes at approximately 11pm.
Your BASSINTHEGRASS Ticket must be attached to the cap. Caps must be presented at the gate, gate staff will tear off the ticket.
St John Ambulance Officers and Police will be patrolling the event.
Security will be in place to ensure a safe event. All bags/containers will be subject to a full search to ensure the safety of patrons.
A Punter barrier will be in place with security at the front of the stage.
If you are under the age of 18 years, pass outs will not be granted.
Water may be sprayed on the audience in front of the punter barrier, mobile phones and cameras are at risk. Remember to consider others as well as your own safety, especially in front of the stage. If someone falls down or is in distress please help assist if you can or let the security know so we can help. It's meant to be a fun day, let's make sure it is.
Keep hydrated; make use of the complimentary water! Wear your cap and sunscreen.
Wear sensible shoes and clothes. Avoid wearing jewellery that could potentially harm yourself or others.
Food, alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages must not be brought to the venue.
No glass bottles, No sharp objects, No aerosol cans and No illegal substances are to be taken into the event.
Don't presume that the laws of the real world won't apply; anyone caught using, holding or dealing illegal substances will be treated the same way as anywhere else.
Don't turn up drunk as you will be refused entry.
A cloak room is in operation at the event, this initiative is run by The Make A Wish Foundation. For a small fee you can check your valuable items in whilst enjoying the event.
Merchandise will be available for purchase at the event.
An ATM will be located inside the venue for your convenience.
Your wristband is your passport
It is mandatory that everyone at People’s Choice Credit Union BASSINTHEGRASS wears a wristband which will be given to you at the main gate. This is your proof of rightful entry. Anyone not wearing a wristband will be subject to immediate eviction from the event.
There will be two distinctive wristbands issued – one for those under 18 and one for those over the age of 18.
Don’t forget your ID! Government issued ID such as Drivers Licence, Proof of Age or Passport must be presented by people over 18 wanting to consume alcohol. Secondary and Tertiary Education ID will not be accepted.
Security
Whether it's entering, leaving or during BASSINTHEGRASS you will be required to abide by any reasonable request or command from the Festival Security. Remember that they are primarily there to keep everyone in the venue safe.
If you need help or see someone needing help please notify them straight away. In some cases we may need to clear a path or area & security may need to react quickly. Please follow their directions if required as someone's safety may depend on it, maybe your own.
Dry Area
An area of approximately 25 per cent of the venue will be designated 'dry area'. This area will be clearly marked and shaded with temporary shade structures in the middle of the venue.
Alcohol
The event is fully licensed - Alcohol will be on sale from 5pm.
Alcohol will only be sold to people with the over 18’s wristbands at alcohol booths.
You are not permitted to bring alcohol into the venue. On arrival, all bags and containers will be fully checked for alcohol.
No glass will be permitted into the premises and no glass containers will be sold on the premises.
Wristbands will be issued to people over the age of 18 yrs upon entry to the event, make sure you have your Government issued ID – if you cannot prove your age, you will not be issued an 18+ wristband.
Important Safety Announcements
In the event of a specific issue live requests will be made. Please take note of & respect these announcements. The Big screen will also be used to communicate important safety messages during the event.
Emergency Evacuation
Under extreme & unlikely circumstances a building, area or the entire site may be required to be evacuated or cleared. It will be imperative for you to follow all instructions & directions from emergency services, police, fire brigade and/or our security that would be requested of you in such a situation.
First Aid
There will be St John Ambulance officers inside the venue to treat people who are genuinely ill or have injured themselves on the day. If you have medication that needs to be refrigerated, this can be arranged by seeing the St John Ambulance Officers.
Lost Property Items
Lost property will be handed into the ‘Cloak Room’ during the event. After the event you can contact Northern Territory Major Events Company on 8999 5256. In the week following the event all lost property will be handed into NT Police, Mitchell Centre.

Condition of entry | Photography and live recording
This event will be covered by Television and the Press. Accordingly, it is possible that you might be photographed individually or in a crowd scene and/or your voice recorded, with or without your knowledge. It is a condition of entry that your image and/or voice may be used for commercial exploitation at the discretion of the taker without any notice, payment or compensation to you.
