PRE SALE TICKETS HAVE ALL SOLD OUT - WALK UP TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE GATE FROM 11AM SATURDAY 26 MAYIt’s the day every young Territorian looks forward to, a day to have fun in the sun. The day we are talking about of course is BASSINTHEGRASS, an institution now in its tenth year proudly brought to the people of Darwin by the Northern Territory Government.
On Saturday 26 May 2012 the Darwin Amphitheatre will stage an enormous line-up of Australia’s hottest artists. In 2011, The Presets, Birds of Tokyo and Sneaky Sound System captivated 7500 revellers whilst Justice Crew, The Potbelleez and local lads Ned and Friends stirred the frenzy all afternoon.
Once again, the Northern Territory Government will be running the Battle of the School Bands competition, giving Territory school students the opportunity to strive for their place onto the BASSINTHEGRASS line-up.
After successful inception in 2011 – the BASSINTHEGRASS design a shirt contest is back again! The competition encourages creative young Territorians to draw inspiration into designing a signature piece to mark the event.
Saturday 26th May, a festival of music where young and old play together is a date not to forget!
The Hon. Paul Henderson MLA
Chief Minister, Northern Territory, Australia
