Message from the Chief Minister
BASSINTHEGRASS turns seven this year, which will be a lucky number for
the 7,000 music lovers who will join us this year for 12 wicked hours
of music.
 BASSINTHEGRASS
is absolutely part of our great Dry Season calendar, it’s part of what
makes the Top End the best place to live in Australia.
Since 2003, BASSINTHEGRASS has established itself as a highlight of youth entertainment.
It is also recognised by national acts as the Territory’s - and
northern Australia’s - greatest music festival. In the past, we have
been able to enjoy the country’s top acts, as well as the Territory’s
finest bands.
And this year will be no different. As we book bands for
BASSINTHEGRASS 2009, we’ll let you know through local media as well as
on this website - so keep tuned.
Join us at the 7th BASSINTHEGRASS on Saturday 23 May at the
Amphitheatre for 12 hours of the hottest music the Top End can give us!
